Accent Wall Inspiration

Accent walls can be a quick, easy, and inexpensive way to drastically change any room. There are many options to choose from. What ultimately matters is your budget, your timeline, and the look you want to achieve. Below are the 4 main accent walls you can choose from:

  1. Paint. You could choose to create an accent wall simple with paint or textured paint. This is the most affordable method. I would recommend choosing a darker version of your room colour. For example, if your room is an off-white blue, you could choose a dark blue accent wall.
  2. Wallpaper. There are two main options now for wallpaper. The traditional one where you wet and glue the paper to the wall, or the new style where you peel and stick the paper to the wall. Both are great and affordable options to add a huge pop to any room. And the best part, the selection of these is very large so you will be sure to find your style.
  3. Panels. Panels offer a great way to add a textured accent wall such as a faux brick look. There are many different panels on the market to add a very detailed look to your wall. These are more expensive than paint or wallpaper but can make a very drastic change to your space.
  4. 2D & 3D Tounge-and-Groove. While this will likely be the most expensive option of an accent wall, its final look is unbeatable. To give you an idea of the cost, I priced out my own bedroom wall with this type of material (you will find in the picture below from Home Depot), and the total cost was around $800. The good part aside from having an amazing accent wall is it is easy to install.
